At LUSTR Detail paint correction is our specialty and we are proud to stake our reputation on it. Paint correction is a long and labor intensive process through which paint is properly compounded, polished and restored to bring back that like-new or even better than new finish. Utilizing some of the best products and safest techniques, we’re able to take paint in any condition to a whole new level of clarity and shine, without jeopardizing the paint thickness.
1 stage of polishing is our Level 1 correction, 2 stages is Level 2 and 3 stages is where we take our Level 2 to the next level and shoot for perfection inch by inch. As you see the Level 1 greatly improves this horrible paint and Level 2 makes it pretty perfect leaving a deep, rich finish. Depending on the paint condition and sensitivity, we can usually remove 50-80% swirl marks and lighter defects with the Level 1 and 80-95%+ with Level 2 correction.
We focus individually on each vehicle and develop a process specifically tailored it. Before any work is scheduled, we perform an assessment to evaluate the paintwork, measure the clearcoat and thoroughly discuss the owner’s concerns and expectations. In addition to the paint correction, we highly recommend an application of a Ceramic Coating to help maintain and preserve the finish.
Paint Correction is a valuable and beneficial service for almost any vehicle. In addition to our Enhance Detail, we utilize multiple stages of machine polishing to greatly improve the paint and usually make it better than brand new. This is achieved by removing unsightly swirl marks, greatly improving deep scratches or defects and bringing out a clarity that brings the shine, gloss and reflections of the paint to a whole new level.
A paint correction detail could take 1-3+ days depending on the car, condition and expected results. Adding a Ceramic Coating is a great way to help maintain and preserve the new finish.
